An Update on Stellaris Invicta Season II

Attention Institute Personnel!

It’s been just over 2 months since the voting ended for Stellaris Invicta Season 2, right around the time we said we’d like to launch the project. We know you’re all eager for some news, so we’d like to update you on where things are at, and when you can expect the Antares Confederacy to take to the stars.

First, the bad news. While we had originally hoped to launch Season 2 in mid-October, we’ve decided to delay it by a few weeks. We’ve been lucky enough to be in constant communication with the fine folks over at Paradox Interactive, and as part of those conversations it’s become clear that the long-term stability of the project would benefit from waiting until the next Stellaris patch has been released. I know delays are never fun, but it would be far worse to start the project, only to need to restart it a few sessions later because of a broken save file.

On the positive side though, this delay also gives us time to fine tune a few other aspects of Season 2 to make sure it starts off even better. As some of you have already surmised, the Antares Confederacy has a bit of a unique home system and I’m really happy to say we’ve been working with some talented modders to have this reflected in our game.

If you lived here you’d be home by now.

If you lived here you’d be home by now.

Additionally, we’ve been commissioning some really cool stuff that will be available to certain tiers of our Patrons during a special, limited time event. There was a bit of a concern they might not arrive before the season started, so now we’ll be able to provide you with some photos of these new rewards in the wild, as opposed to an artist’s mockup.

So, while you may need to wait just a little while longer to visit Antares, we’re happy to release a bit of a preview in the meantime. Below you’ll find the previously teased map of the Antares System! It’ll be available for purchase on the Templin Commissary a bit later on, but in the meantime, enjoy this digital version. In the grand tradition of the Templin Institute, there is probably a typo or mistake somewhere on this map, so if you catch it, let us know!

Thanks everyone so much for your support and patience.

Forward Antares!
