On Larissa Thompson
Attention Institute Personnel!
I’d first like to apologize for the lack of communication over the last two months. I know many of you were concerned and curious over what was going on and while I would have preferred to be in touch much earlier, circumstances prevented me from doing so.
In January, Larissa Thompson decided that she would be leaving the Templin Institute. Unfortunately, over the last six months, communication with Ms. Thompson on issues surrounding the work she was doing as both the business’s CEO and narrator have eroded trust and demonstrated an unsustainable pattern of uncertainty and risk. She will not be involved in the future of the channel or community in any way. Much of the last couple months has been spent managing her withdrawal and attempting to figure out how the Templin Institute will function in her absence. I had hoped to have resume producing content by now, but the process is proving to be very complicated.
In addition to her role as the narrator for our content, Larissa Thompson was responsible for a lot of work the behind the scenes. It is my hope that when the Templin Institute returns we will be able to maintain the same level of content you’ve come to expect but it is still unclear if some of our larger projects like Stellaris Invicta, Operation Esperanza and our Twitch channel will be able to continue and in what form.
With that in mind, I’ve decided to pause Patreon payments starting in April 2020, and I will do so until I can return to producing content. I’ll have some further updates over the next few weeks and months.
I understand many of you might be disappointed, and I am too, but I will be putting in every effort over the next few months to continue the Templin Institute. Your support for this community so far has been tremendous, and I am confident that eventually we can get to a place where the Templin Institute is better than ever.
Thanks for your understanding!
Marc
